Twin Hills

Your car should meet your needs. It should be able to carry what you need to transport efficiently and comfortably. If you need a great deal of storage space in your vehicle, which type of car is best for you? Perhaps it is a truck, an SUV, or a sedan with ample trunk space.

Whatever your storage needs may be, our team at Twin Hills Ford is here to help. We proudly serve Richmond Hill and the surrounding areas.

So what are some of the better car options when it comes to storage space?

Ford Expedition

The Ford Expedition is a large and spacious SUV with three rows of seating. The third row fits two people comfortably, and the 2020 model offers 20.9 cubic feet of storage space. If the third seat is folded down, that space expands to 60 feet of cargo space. If the maximum amount of storage is needed, the space expands to 104.6 cubic feet if both the second and the third rows are folded down.

The Expedition is a versatile option with a high-quality interior, plenty of storage space, and is easy to navigate like a sedan. If you are looking for an SUV to haul things around, the Expedition may be the car for you.

The F-150

Ford’s premier truck has plenty of room for cargo. The 2020 F-150 offers a spacious cab and a versatile truck bed to help you carry as much as possible. The F-150 offers a Regular Cab, SuperCab, and SuperCrew Cab options. A 2019 Ford F-150 Regular Cab model features 64.6 cubic feet of passenger space and 12.1 cubic feet of cargo volume behind the first row, while SuperCab models feature 116 cubic feet of passenger space and 31.6 cubic feet of cargo volume behind the first row. The 2019 Ford F-150 SuperCrew Cab model features 131.8 cubic feet of passenger space and 51.9 cubic feet of cargo volume behind the first row.

Any of these roomy cab options allow storage under the rear seats and a spacious cab with foldable rear seats to fit what you need to carry. If that is not enough, there are also a variety of bed sizes available with this full-sized truck. Regular Cab and SuperCab models feature a six-and-a-half-foot or an eight-foot cargo bed, while the SuperCrew model offers either a five-and-a-half-foot or a six-and-a-half-foot bed.

Ford Explorer

Perhaps you are looking for something slightly smaller than the full-sized Expedition, but you still want plenty of storage space. The Explorer may be the ideal option for you.

The 2020 model boasts 18.2 cubic feet of space behind the third row seat, 47.9 cubic feet behind the second row, and up to 87.8 cubic feet with all rear seats folded. These totals are above average for a midsize SUV. A power liftgate is standard. The Explorer also offers an option for an under-floor bin behind the third row seat, with additional bins flanking the sides.

Lincoln Navigator

Similar to the Expedition, Lincoln’s full-sized SUV has everything you desire in terms of storage space. The newest model offers two options: the Navigator and Navigator L. The Navigator L includes 120 cubic feet of total storage space, and 34 cubic feet behind the third row. The regular Navigator offers 103 cubic feet, and 19.3 behind the third row.

The Navigator is a Luxury SUV with 8,700 pounds of towing capacity, a spacious cabin, and ample seating.

Ford Focus

Maybe gas mileage is as important to you as storage space. A car may be more your speed than a truck or SUV. The Ford Focus is a versatile vehicle that can also assist with your storage needs. The newest model of the Focus wagon offers 58 cubic feet of cargo space, while the hatchback allows 44.8 cubic feet of cargo space.

If you are looking to downsize from an SUV or truck for efficiency while still maintaining the most storage space possible, the Focus is a fantastic option to consider.
